Shining light on endometriosis, female cancers, infertility and chronic pain
one courageous individual at a time.
What is Alba?
Through stories, photographs and a collection of products designed by artists, Alba showcases female or transgender individuals touched by endometriosis, female cancers, chronic pain and infertility. With spotlights on these individuals and their loved-ones, and by sharing resources offered by professionals across disciplines, Alba's mission is to help shift the dialogue on women's health by raising not only awareness but a deep understanding of these complex issues.

Why "Alba"?
"Alba" is a word of Latin origin and means "dawn" in several languages. Light follows from darkness and chases it away, just as we become stronger in the face of hardships. The members of this initiative are beacons of light who have transformed illness into a chance to empower, educate, inspire and heal others through their own personal journey. Together, we strive for a new dawn for women's health, a brighter future with pro-active, holistic and systematic approaches.

Alba's Mission
Alba's mission is to increase understanding of these health issues and their impact on the physical, mental and emotional well-being of not only women, but also the men by their side. By highlighting the challenges, resilience and passion of entrepreneurs, artists, men and women around the world, Alba aims to empower and uplift others, guiding them from darkness to light. Alba's mission is also to fund-raise for research on endometriosis, female cancers and infertility.

It's time to deeply understand endometriosis
"It’s so much more than the fact that it’s called "endometriosis", that it's a female condition, that it’s awkward to talk about because it’s related to a “uterus” or “ovaries” or “fertility” or “periods”, or that it’s common.
It’s that it’s so very far-reaching in its effects, that it’s incurable and that it’s so misunderstood." - Kristina Kasparian, founder of Alba |

Hi, I'm Kristina"For over eighteen years, I trusted my instincts to listen to my body’s signals, educated myself about endometriosis, infertility, miscarriage, ovarian cancer and breast cancer, and advocated for my rights as a patient, as a woman and as a person striving to live a beautiful life. After finally receiving my diagnosis and multiple surgeries, I realized that my climb towards healing had only just begun. It has become my mission to change false beliefs and harmful judgments, one small opportunity at a time. There is still a ton of work to do to decrease diagnosis times, as well as to equip individuals with multidisciplinary tools that will allow them to heal - physically, mentally and emotionally."
